Every door I knocked on, every phone call I made, every time that I was received with kindness and even when I wasn't ~ The food I cooked and served to others, the lines I worked at Obama events, the tanks of gas I bought, everything I did to support President Obama's campaign was all worth it! To see our new president out in the community today, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, our national day of service fills me again with the hope and optimism I felt working all those volunteer hours. Knowing that more people than ever on this national holiday all over the country are volunteering to help others is thrilling! Today is a great day and tomorrow will be even better! It's been almost a year since I earnestly started volunteering my time (and my family's) to the Obama campaign. 2008 was a year we won't ever forget and our optimism for the future is tremendous. I'm stopping to cherish the moment.IT'S A NEW DAY! will.i.am.
